Christmas in July

All I Want for Christmas Is… to Feel Like Myself Again

A little Christmas magic. A lot less pressure. And finally, a gift for you.

A sunlit summer room with a small pine sprig and a gold ornament — Christmas in July calm

Hi Beautiful Friend,

We are celebrating Christmas in July? Aren't we? Or is it just about sales ads and getting a good discount with good marketing?

Christmas in July became popular in America after an all-girls summer camp in North Carolina held a full Christmas celebration in the middle of summer in 1933—complete with carols, a decorated tree, Santa, and gifts. But it took off and is a great time to think about gifts for yourself without the pressure.

Why?

Because joy does not need to wait until December.

And neither does taking care of yourself.

The best part about Christmas in July is that it comes without the usual holiday pressure.

  • No twelve-foot shopping list.
  • No wrapping presents at midnight.
  • No cooking for twenty people while your family asks what time dinner will be.

And when August 1 arrives, no one is emotionally devastated because you forgot to buy them a Christmas in July gift.

That makes this the perfect holiday to give something to the woman who is often forgotten:

You.

The Gift No One Else Can Wrap for You

Women are usually excellent gift-givers.

We remember birthdays, refill prescriptions, plan meals, find missing shoes, buy the teacher gifts, organize the family calendar, and somehow know when the toilet paper is running low.

But when it comes to ourselves?

We wait.

  • We wait for more time.
  • We wait until everyone else is taken care of.
  • We wait until the symptoms get worse.
  • We wait until we are so tired, frustrated, uncomfortable, or disconnected from ourselves that our bodies practically file a formal complaint.

Taking care of your health is not selfish. It is not indulgent. And it should not be the last item left on your list.

Your Wish List

What We Are Wishing For You This Season

Forget the socks and the scented candles. This is the kind of list worth writing down—little (and big) gifts of feeling good in your own body again. Consider it our wish list for you.

More energy than a half-dead phone battery

You should not have to drag yourself through every afternoon wondering when you became someone who needs a nap after unloading the dishwasher.

Low energy can be connected to many things, including hormone changes, poor sleep, thyroid function, stress, insulin resistance, nutrition, and nutrient deficiencies.

That is why “just exercise more” is not always helpful advice.

You cannot motivational-quote your way out of biology.

Your body may not need another lecture. It may need better information and the right support.

Sleep that actually feels like sleep

Being unconscious for seven hours is not necessarily the same as getting restorative sleep.

If you are waking up hot, anxious, wide awake at 3:00 a.m., or thinking about something embarrassing you said in 1997, your hormones and nervous system may be asking for help.

Healthy sleep supports:

  • Mood and emotional resilience
  • Memory and concentration
  • Metabolism and appetite regulation
  • Blood sugar balance
  • Immune function
  • Energy and recovery

Sleep is not laziness. It is repair work.

Santa does not run the whole operation without resting the reindeer, and neither should you.
