What does “bioidentical” actually mean?
Bioidentical means the hormone molecule is structurally identical to the one your own body produces. It is a statement about chemical structure, not about strength, sourcing or quality — and not a regulatory category.
The word gets used loosely in marketing, so it is worth knowing what it does and does not tell you. It tells you the molecule matches. It does not tell you anything about how a given product was formulated.
